Alexandria Middle School

This project started in 2016 and was our largest project to date. This was a good learning project for our relatively new company. We performed total station layout on everything, including footings, footing rebar, wall layout for masons, pier footings and pier footing rebar, we also assisted plumbers with layout of water piping. This project consisted of many different shapes, sizes and elevations of footings and piers. The slab on grade as is, all school projects, was a challenge, every slab top to bottom has masonry rebar in place at the time of finishing creating an obstacle to work around. This type of structure requires a lot of hand work to make sure the floors are troweled tight against the masonary walls. D-vision III trowel finished over 82,000 sf of slab on grade in this project. Exterior concrete consisted of an enormous amount of sidewalks and concrete paving, included was a decorative walk area at the small outdoor amplitheater and plenty of canopy walks from the existing school.
